Two courses in the South Parklands are available for training using MapRunF or on a downloaded PDF map (see under documents)
Although the event has a nominal date – these course can be done any time.

Following SA government's current restrictions you can do this as an individual, family group, or self –organized training group up to 10 people. These events are at your own risk.

2 courses are available both start off South Tc - near the Pulteney Grammar School Overpass
- Course 1 - 3.1 km
- Course 2 - 4.2 km
Both courses have road crossings - take care

To use MapRunF – see this website to download to your phone - http://maprunners.weebly.com/

You can do the course with a PDF map and just use the phone to record the controls as below.

These courses require no code – instead
- On the MapRunF app home page – choose select event
- Navigate to the folder South Australia and then Orienteering SA Adelaide Parklands
- Choose the required course

When you are ready, start you phone GPS. Then select “Go To Start”. Wait for a GPS lock indicated by the red dot/line to indicating your position on the map, let it stabilise. Go to the start triangle and make sure the GPS is tracking your position.

When you reach the start, the phone will beep to indicate you have passed the start and the timer will start. Your current position will no longer be shown on the map. The phone beeps at each control (within a few metres – although sometimes takes a while on the first control or 2, and obviously you have to be at the right location).

The phone also beeps at the finish and timing stops.

To see results – on the MapRunF app home page, choose show results and then choose the correct course. Results are also visible on the MapRunF home page – “Leader Board Quick Link” – then filter to see your course.
