QUEENSLAND FRUIT FLY

We have been advised that Scotch College is now within the Queensland Fruit Fly Quarantine Area.
To make managing this as easy as possible, please do not bring any fruit to the event on Sunday.

COVID-19 compliance:
Numbers for events will need to comply with Government guidelines; we are hoping no restrictions will be reintroduced.
However, we are keeping the pre-entry system in order to keep our caravan operators safe, maximise social distancing, track attendees and control numbers. This means all events will be pre-entry through Eventor and prepaid through Eventor / Paypal. Unfortunately prepaid cards will not be accepted for pre-entry events.

You will need to enter before midnight on Thursday before the event, but we will not be allocating any set start times.

No water will be provided at events or on the courses. Therefore, you must bring your own water and consider if you need to carry water with you on the course.

Please follow all Government guidelines for social distancing and do not come to an event if you are feeling unwell. Refunds will be available if you cannot get to the event, be it because you are feeling unwell or just don't like the weather.

All OWA members have an account in Eventor. Members, please check that your contact details including phone number are correct in your account on Eventor.

Casual members must set up an account in Eventor in order to pre-enter events. We ask that you sign up to the Casuals WA "club" to help us keep track of participants - there is no fee but you pay more for each event. There are guides on the website or another member could help you. If you have any problems, contact our Business Manager, Emma, via email at orienteeringwa@gmail.com.

Loan SI sticks (for timing your run) will be pre-packaged and issued at the Start.

We acknowledge that pre-entry requires everyone to be more organised, but we consider this is the best means of making our events COVID-safe and enabling us to continue our events.

Entry fees:
Adult concessions are obtained by selecting the appropriate Service which will reduce the fee (there are no concessions for Juniors)
Group entries (on same course) - the lead adult should enter and pay, and then advise the organiser who are in the group (names and ages) - maximimum of 5.
Family maximum - enter all the family members in one transaction and the system will calculate the maximum fee.

NavDash (sprint) events have courses to suit all abilities.

Courses:
Long Hard - 3.1km+ (29 controls with 2 part map)
Medium Hard - 2.1km+ (26 controls with 2 part map)
Short Easy - 1.5km+ (24 controls with 2 part map)

DON'T FORGET TO PRINT AND BRING YOUR CONTROL DESCRIPTIONS WITH YOU.

NOTE THE TIMINGS FOR THIS EVENT. AS THE COURSES ARE SHORT, THE EVENT WILL FINISH EARLIER THAN MOST OTHER EVENTS.
Start times from 9.30am – 11.00am.
COURSES FINISH AT 12 NOON SHARP
Please return to the assembly area by 12 noon even if you have not completed your course.
