Event information: Toohey Forest, Bush (Rob Simson's Special Seat Event, Mid-Week Champs)

Export to calendar Back

A beautiful new seat has been erected in Toohey Forest as a memorial to former president of Toohey Forest Orienteering Club and Toohey Forest Protection Society, Rob Simson. The seat overlooks Rob's favorite spot in the forest. So come along to the official “launch” of Rob Simson's memorial seat! We will be starting this special event right from Rob’s seat! There will be a “new” 1:7500 map of only the best bits of Toohey Forest! This event will also double as the Mid-Week Champs, so there will be free lunch as well! Free parking courtesy of Griffith University is being organised on the Ring Road. Look for O signs.

YOU MUST PRE ENTER TO OBTAIN A MAP AND FOR CATERING PURPOSES. NO ENTER ON THE DAY. Cost Members/Non-Members $5/$7, Families $12/$15. Starts 10:30 to 11:00am. Organiser: Geoff Peck. Course Lengths are: Long - 4.9km, Medium - 3.8km, Short - 2.4km
