Event information: Sydney Summer Series #15 Haberfield

Export to calendar Back

Venue: Richard Murden Park (Nth End), Hawthorne Pde, Haberfield.
Map: "Federation"

Parking: Street parking along Hawthorne Parade or side streets (west side of canal). Note that there is limited parking on the east side of the canal and it is used by workers in the area (and dog walkers).

DO NOT ATTEND if you are unwell or if you must self-isolate under NSW Health COVID guidance (see https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates).

You should also not attend if you live in regions where the NSW or Australian Government has restricted travel. Organisers will also monitor whether participants have been to a current COVID-19 case locations in NSW and will refuse entry if that is appropriate.
Social distancing of 1.5m should be maintained at all times.

Plastic map sleeves: Bring your own if you want one. The maps will be printed on plastic paper.

Water: There is a bubbler in the Assembly area (and many elsewhere in the park areas). Please bring your own water though, so that use of the bubbler is limited (and crowding limited as a result).

Toilets: Across bridge from Assembly Area next to Men’s Shed/Blackmore Oval. Also further south opposite Turner Ave near playground.

Dogs: Be aware that there is a lot of dog walking along Hawthorne Canal. On the east side there is an off-leash area between the canal and the Light Rail Station.

From the fabulous Federation housing of Haberfield to the tiny Leichhardt and Lillyfiled 'boxes', this event is a great inner west showcase. Throw in the long Hawthorne Canal reserve, and the inner harbour-side passeggiata and you've got Summer Series heaven.
