Export to calendar Back

Location: Hylton Moore Park, East Gosford. Assembly area is adjacent to large car park at junction of Althorp St & Wattle St.

Park and Street orienteering. 45 minute Score course - collect as many controls as you can, in any order.
Traffic-safe Mini course also available. (Will suit smaller children.)
Starts from 9:00 to 10:30.
Course closes: 11:30 - please be finished by this time.
Pre-entry online strongly encouraged, but if you have difficulty with the process, you can still turn up and enter on the day.
First-timers are most welcome, experienced orienteers will be available to provide instructions.
You can run, jog or walk; individually, or in a small group; it's your choice.

Entry fees:
First-timers are free;
Members (of any orienteering club): $10; Juniors: $5;
Non-members/Casuals: $15;
Mini course is free.

Courses are entirely on the north side of the Central Coast Highway - no need to cross it this time! Map has been extended slightly to the north. The Central Coast Highway is marked out of bounds on the map, but there is of course a footpath along side the road which you can use.
Map scales are: Score course: 1:7500; Mini: 1:4000.
Control description are on front of map (IOF symbols), with English text descriptions on the back of the map. Mini course map has English descriptions on front.
You only need to print your own descriptions (from link below) if you insist on having them on a separate piece of paper.
I am somewhat doubtful that the toilets in the park will be open. If you want to be certain, there are 'always open' ones: coming from the west: in the East Gosford car park at corner of Victoria & Althorp Sts; coming from the east: at the western corner of Terry Oval on Wells St.

Please be mindful of COVID-19 precautions. (See linked document.)
