Event information: Big Foot Sprints XXIII (New date)
This will be a COVID safe event. Please read the Event Bulletin and the Event COVID-19 Safety Plan. Please do not come if you are feeling unwell or are in isolation. Don’t relax. We don't want orienteering to be in the news for the wrong reason. Other than the above, at present there is no state-wide restriction on entry.
Big Foot Sprints is the annual two-course sprint event with an exciting chasing start for your second course. There are only two classes: open men and open women. Everybody runs the same courses. The second course is where the fun starts. It is run as a true chasing start, based on your time in over the first course.
Courses are by Richard Mountstephens in the sprint-challenging bush terrain of Frenchs Forest using the 1:4000 Ferretville map.
Location: Ararat Reserve, Bantry Bay Road, Frenchs Forest.
Big Foot Sprints will be pre-entry only, there is NO enter on the day. Entries close midnight Thursday 4th February 2021.
Fees for Big Foot Sprints:
Seniors: $15 member of an orienteering club, $19 non-member.
Juniors: $10.00 members, $14.00 non-member.
BYO water, BYO map sleeve.
Controls will be SIAC+ enabled.
Results will be online only.
Please follow all COVID-19 Safety Plan rules and directions on the day from Event Marshalls.
