Day 1 SA Night Championships & OY

Tintookies Orienteers invite you to a weekend of orienteering on this unique landscape. In the north east is the Ridley Conservation Park which contains remnant stands of woodland and grassland vegetation. An old stock route used to pass through this area. It is home for the hairy nosed wombat. Much of the map area was originally part of an ancient sea bed hence you will see lots of fossilised oyster shells. Some of the private land has been cleared for occasional cropping. Complex but very clearly defined spur gully terrain dominates the balance of the map. Careful route choice will help to greatly reduce potentially high climb rates.

Directions: To NE of Mt Pleasant (about 50km to event from this point) follow the Angas Valley Rd towards Walkers Flat. Turn left on Murraylands road and follow signs. After crossing the Marne River the turn to the arena is approximately 1.4km on the left

Water: (as per COVID rules document attached). Bring your own bottle and do not drink from someone else’s or otherwise share their equipment. No water will be supplied on the courses.
