REGISTRATION FOR THURSDAY AFTER-SCHOOL TRAINING

Venue: Veale Gardens, from 3.45-5pm.

Focus is on primary school kids, but all are welcome, including siblings and families.

There will be the usual choice of 3 courses. Easy is recommended for beginners and those with fewer than 5 previous trainings/events. Hard for those with more experience (15+ events) and good navigation skills. Moderate for the rest. Instruction/help will be provided for newcomers and others who request it. Cost is $5 per session, free for those from participating Member Schools (e.g. Goodwood, Black Forest, East Adelaide and Col Light Gardens). Just come in regular sport clothes, we will provide everything else!

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Please supply the following info (if you haven't already done so):
1. Name, Date of birth, School, any relevant medical conditions.
2. Name of parent, contact email and phone number.
3. Previous Orienteering experience. (Select one): Recommended course:
• None (beginner) (Easy course, plus intro lesson)
• Less than 5 previous trainings/events (Easy course)
• 5-15 previous trainings/events (Moderate course)
• More than 15 previous trainings/events (Moderate or Hard course)

2. Please observe all current Covid-19 Guidelines. Please be responsible and practice social distancing. Do not come to the event if you:
• Have any Covid-like symptoms
• Are awaiting the results of a Covid-19 test
• Are required to be in Isolation for any other reason

3. You agree to the terms and conditions below:

RISK STATEMENT: In entering this event I recognise that the event is a recreational activity that may involve significant risk of physical harm and has certain inherent and obvious risks due to its conduct in both urban and natural environments. Included in these risks are injury due to: rough terrain and obstacles; the effects of heat, cold and other adverse weather conditions; plant and animal life; vehicular traffic; and remoteness to medical services or evacuation difficulties if you become disabled.
You should recognise that orienteering can be a dangerous recreational activity and the enjoyment of orienteering is derived in part from the inherent and obvious risks associated with the activity.
You should be aware that there is no personal accident insurance on your participation in the sport and you participate at your own risk. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to decide whether their children are capable of orienteering by themselves at each event.
Parents and guardians should ensure that their children are supervised at all times.
