Welcome to the Ballarat Winter Series Event #1. All attendees are required to scan the Services Victoria QR code on arrival. Remember you must not attend this event if you are unwell with COVID symptoms, are waiting for test results, or are otherwise required to quarantine or isolate.

Entry for this event is by Eventor only. No Enter on the Day will be accepted. This is to ensure we follow COVID protocols and to minimise queuing at Registration. Registration opens at 09.30am. First start at 10am. All courses close at 1.00pm. SportIdent timing will be used, with touchless/SIAC/Beacon mode ENABLED, so please enter with your SIAC if you have one. Loan SI sticks will be available at Registration at no charge. Come out and enjoy spur/gully and gold mining terrain of this terrific area.
Directions: As per map below. The best way from Melbourne is to leave the Western Freeway at the Brown Hill exit, carefully turn right onto C292 to go under the freeway, then almost immediately left on to Springs Road. After about 3kms turn left at White Swan Road and then left onto Glen Park Road. You should then look for O signs.

Course Lengths (Approximate)

2: 5.2 Km - 17 Controls (Hard Navigation)
3: 3.6 Km - 12 Controls (Hard Navigation)

Bio-security measures for fungus infected forests are also required in this area. Thus it is required for all to clean shoes and equipment. Please make sure shoes are cleaned before attending the event and then after your run. There will be some cleaning products available but as this is becoming a more common requirement at events try to take responsibility and obtain your own cleaning solutions (>70% ethanol) to reduce the spread of forest fungal diseases.

Parking: Cars must only be parked on roadways or in designated parking areas.

Mineshafts: This area contains many uncapped mine shafts so please be aware of this and take required precautions.

This is in accordance with permit conditions in areas managed by Parks Victoria or DELWP (Forests, reserves, and national, state, and regional parks)
