Venue: Sydney Park, King Street (Princes Highway) - car park near brick chimneys, .
'Sprint' is the newest format of our sport. Think of it as the T20 of orienteering. At the elite level it is meant to be fast and furious, where an error of even 10 seconds could mean the difference between first and fourth placings. Courses are short with lots of controls and
lots of changes of direction and held mainly in urban environments (uni campuses, former hospital sites, sporting complexes etc).
There are 8 events in the program this season.
Courses: Each event has 1 course of 2.5 – 3km (shortest route).
Start Times: Between 5.00pm and 6.00pm.
Course Closure: 6.30pm
Entry Fees: Orienteering club members $12 seniors. Non-members $3 extra. Sportident hire $4 per event.
Map: 1:4000. Sportident timing used for at all events.
