When: Sunday 4 March, 10:30am until approximately 1pm (arrive 10:20am). Where: Eltham College, 1660 Main Road, Research. Bring a compass. We will start in the classroom with some map and symbol interpretation, then some course analysis, followed by getting out into the school grounds and stepping through an actual course as a group. There is opportunity afterwards for a group run-through of the course at speed. The session is aimed at all orienteers – although very experienced sprint orienteers may already know most of the content. The aim of the session is to provide some techniques and tools to improve sprint orienteering, which can be used during the Melbourne Sprint Weekend and beyond. A secondary aim is to just do something a bit different and share a fun orienteering experience. Entry is FREE, but for map printing and catering purposes, please enter online by February 28 or email us.
