The ACT Saturday series is held in pleasant parkland held close to Canberra, mostly in Canberra Nature Park or large suburban parks. Everyone is welcome and courses are available to suit a wide range of orienteering experience from novice to the more experienced. Courses range from 2 to 5km and easy to medium navigation difficulty. A ‘Help’ person will be available to provide further help at the event. Just turn up, no requirement to book ahead. --- Enter-on-the-day. Start anytime between 10.30 and 12 noon. Entry fees - member adult $10, member junior & concessions $7. $10 non-member juniors and $15 non-member adults. Hire of an electronic timing device that you wear on your finger (sportident card) is $2. --- The ACT Saturday Series includes the ACT Junior League competition. --- This event includes Map Mates --- Map: Bruce CIT Scale 1:4,000 Contour interval 2.5m Courses: Orange 1 (3.0km), Orange 2 (2.2km), Green (1.0km), Blue (0.9km) --- Parking: Park at the northwestern end of the carpark. --- Assembly: Access to the assembly area is along Jack Fleming Place, to the north west of building H only. Approximately 300m from the parking. --- Note: There is a conference this weekend, so there will be a greater number of people on campus than usual. Please take care, especially when running around corners. --- Toilets: Toilets will be open in K block adjacent to the assembly area. --- Catering: Blue Lightning cake stall. Bring plenty of money.
