Orienteering Australia

Event information: FootO 7 Trail Jorgensen Park

Export to calendar Back

This event is set near the start of the splendid Bibbulman Track and the family friendly Jorgensen Park. All the courses are designed to be easy on the navigation, encouraging participants to follow trails rather than bash through the bush, but as energetic as you want them to be, with distances of 2km to 10km or more, over (mostly) gently undulating terrain composed of a wide variety of native bush, which has even encroached on the fairways of an old golf-course in places. This is an ideal event for novices to understand how orienteering maps relate to things like vegetation. For the experienced and competitive there is talk of a mass start, at a time to be confirmed here in due course.

Registration from 9.00am – 11.00am. Start times from 9.30am – 11.30am. Courses close at 1.00pm sharp. Please return to the assembly area by 1.00pm even if you have not completed your course.

Directions: Make your way to the roundabout at Mead St / Railway Raod / Mundaring Weir Road in Kalamunda. Head down Mundaring Weir Road for 120 metres and turn left into Crescent Road. Jorgensen Park carpark is at the end of the road.
