To provide training for both the Junior Arrows and Southern Darts squads.

No Pre-entries
There will not be any Pre-entries.

Training OSA has a very limited number of loan compasses so if possible please bring your own compass.

Drinking Water
Orienteers should bring at least two litres of drinking water for their own consumption before and after each course. There is no safe drinking water available in the Park.

Heat Injury Risk and Fire Bans
The training is being conducted in the early part of the day and the course lengths have taken potential heat injury risk into account.

Orienteers should wear hats and other clothing to avoid the chance of heat injury plus drink water before each course and after each course.

The consumption of coffee, sugary and alcoholic drinks before the training should be minimized as they dehydrate the body and brain.

The training will be non-competitive in the case of a forecast temperature of 35 deg. C and will be cancelled if the forecast is 38 deg. C or above.

In the case of a total fire ban in the Mt Lofty Ranges the training will be cancelled.

Full Body Cover clothing
In parts of the Park the vegetation is very thick. Courses have been designed to avoid the thickest areas but injury to the body and limbs may still occur in other areas and hence full body cover is recommended for all courses less Very Easy and Easy.
