COME AND ENJOY RUNNING ALONGSIDE THE PARRAMATTA RIVER
The Sydney Summer Series is also known as Sydney Map Running and challenges participants to navigate on the run (imagine running AND thinking!). It is the best summer orienteering in Sydney utilising the city’s parks, history, beaches, harbour and bush. All are on show in the even more action packed 28th Sydney Summer Series.
Venue: Meadowbank Park near Tennis Courts, Constitution Road West, Meadowbank (opposite the south end of Federal Road), 750 metres from Meadowbank railway station and ferry terminal). 45 minute score event with a map scale of 1:10,000. A Mini course is available.
Orienteering Club Members - Seniors $12, Juniors $8, Families $32. Casual Registrations (Non-members) - Seniors $20, Juniors $10, Families $50. All casual rates include SI stick hire. Groups $20 includes SI stick hire and two maps. Scouts and Guides $5 each in teams of 2 to 4. Extra maps $2, SI Hire $4. MINI course is free.
First-timers are most welcome, experienced orienteers will be available to provide instructions. All runners, joggers and walkers are welcome. Enter on the Day at the event.
