Gunapin, although it is an old map it is still in good condition, there aren’t too many changes to the vegetation. There are some tight sections to the courses that should give some navigational headaches and some route choice that will confound the experts at the penultimate event for the State Long Distance Championships the week after.

Please park sensibly. There is plenty of parking in the paddock. Just park off the track but not so that you get bogged! Key personnel may park near the caravan. A row of cones will indicate the limits to parking.

From Kelmscott
From Albany highway, left onto Brookton Highway travel 48 km to Yarra Road turnoff. Left into Yarra Road (gravel road with care). Travel 12.1 km veer right into Quaalen Road (gravel road with care). Travel 13 km until Orienteering turn signs. Turn right into bush track for 100m through farm gate and park off track in area bound by cones.

From Midland
On Great Eastern Highway travel towards Mundaring for 30 km to The Lakes turnoff. Turn right into Great Southern Highway travel 13.3 km and turn right into Yarra Road. Travel 1.7 km and turn left into Talbot West Road. Travel 22.2 km and turn right into Leulf Road (gravel - drive with care). Travel 3.2 km then road changes to Gunapin Ridge Road. Travel 4.2 km then turn right into Quaalen Road. Drive for 5 km and watch for Orienteering turn signs. Turn left into bush track for 100m through farm gate and park off track in area bound by cones.
