Event information: Event 1 : Rock Oyster South Day 1 Long Distance Event
Tintookies Orienteers invite you to a weekend of orienteering on this unique landscape. In the north east is the Ridley Conservation Park which contains remnant stands of woodland and grassland vegetation. An old stock route used to pass through this area. It is home for the hairy nosed wombat. Much of the map area was originally part of an ancient sea bed hence you will see lots of fossilised oyster shells. Some of the private land has been cleared for occasional cropping. Complex but very clearly defined spur gully terrain dominates the balance of the map. Careful route choice will help to greatly reduce potentially high climb rates.
Catering: Catering will be available on both days as follows;
Saturday 13th July - From approximately 5:00pm onwards as an early dinner option - baked potatoes with a variety of toppings (vegan/vegetarian options available) ($5)
Sunday 14h July Toasted sandwiches
Baked goods available both days
So that we can make sure that no one misses out the Junior arrows would be very grateful if people wanting baked potatoes could let Julia know prior to the event approximately how many potatoes they would like to purchase (by text 0419 802 334 or juliawoithelloyd@gmail.com)
